The project “The Professionalisation of IPS CAS (NEXT)” focuses on the comprehensive development of strategic, human‑resources, and administrative management at the Institute of Psychology of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IP CAS). Its aim is to continuously enhance the Institute’s competitiveness, efficiency, and scientific excellence. The main objectives include stabilising and systematically supporting human‑resources capacities, strengthening competencies in selected areas, streamlining and fully digitalising internal processes, and supporting internationalisation and intersectoral collaboration.

Key Activities

KA 2

The objective is to enhance the Institute’s strategic development in human-resources management through activities related to obtaining and maintaining the European “HR Award”. This includes conducting a comprehensive GAP analysis and implementing follow-up HR development action plans.

KA 3

The objective is to provide training and pilot implementation of the Institute’s strategic HR framework, as well as to conduct a comprehensive assessment and prioritisation in the area of gender equality (GEP).

KA 4

The objective is to establish and further develop strategic managerial and economic governance of the Institute, support the creation of a comprehensive environment for excellent and internationally competitive research, and provide training for staff in areas related to institutional management.

KA 5

The objective is to improve the Institute’s strategic framework and provide staff training in international cooperation and internationalisation.

KA 6

The objective is to strengthen the Institute’s strategic framework and provide staff training in intersectoral collaboration and knowledge transfer.

KA 7

The objective is to enhance the Institute’s strategic framework and provide staff training in science communication and public engagement.

The Mediated Society (MEDIS:ON) project responds in its content and goals to the dramatic development of technologies that have become part of the everyday life of modern society. MEDIS:ON focuses on exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on society and sees AI as both a tool to expand human capabilities and a challenge related to the widening digital divide, the proliferation of conspiracies and deepfakes, and the lack of AI literacy. The primary goal of the MEDIS:ON project is to advance and deepen the understanding of processes related to the process of working with information at the individual, social and societal level through the perspective of selected social sciences and humanities disciplines (psychology, political science, theology, pedagogy) and in close collaboration with computer sciences.
