Dear colleagues,
As you may already know, the Institute of Psychology of the Czech Academy of Sciences is preparing to obtain the HR Excellence in Research Award (HR Award, links: https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/hrexcellenceaward/hr-excellence, https://psu.cas.cz/en/institute/HR-Strategy/index.html).
As part of the application process for the European Commission, we are analysing:
- the current state of HR processes and employee care,
- the institute’s practices in the area of research ethics.
Your active participation will be essential at this stage.
On 9 December 2025, we will hold the first workshop in the Czech language at the PSÚ workplace in Prague. Dates for workshops for English-speaking staff in Prague and Brno will be announced soon. During workshops we:
- will present basic information about IPS’s preparations for obtaining the HR Excellence in Research Award,
- introduce the principles of the European Charter for Researchers,
- jointly assess how well these principles are implemented at our institute,
- provide space for you to identify key gaps and suggest possible improvements

We will spend some time discussing specific problems linked to writing academic articles, followed by a group writing session.
